Saffron is the stigma of Crocus sativus. Each flower carries three of them. They are picked at dawn, by hand, across a short autumn window — because heat and daylight take the aroma with them.
Our fields sit around Pampore in Kashmir, where cold nights and altitude produce the deep crimson thread the region is known for. Nothing is bought at auction and nothing is blended.
